Newcastle United will soon know if they are a Champions League club again or not.
Newcastle United host Everton on the final day of the Premier League season, safe in the knowledge that a victory would ensure they qualify for the Champions League.
That would obviously be a major boost for the club, both financially and because it would surely increase the chances of signing top players this summer, as well as their ability to keep their current stars.
Newcastle could have a transfer budget of £150million this summer, which could see Eddie Howe make some much-needed additions.
The club have not spent huge sums in recent windows due to the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
All of that could change this summer, following fresh insight into Newcastle’s PSR situation.

How Newcastle United feel about PSR situation amid Bruno Guimaraes rumours
According to The Chronicle, the club’s financial position is looking healthy.
In fact, it’s said that the PSR situation is so good that owners PIF are in no rush to sell any of their key players this summer.

That is good to hear following reports surrounding Bruno Guimaraes.
Guimaraes was linked with a £100million move to Saudi Arabia earlier this week, though it appears as if there is absolutely no pressure to sell him.
Indeed, Newcastle have told Alexander Isak they won’t sell him this summer either, so everything looks positive in terms of keeping players at the end of this season.
Newcastle United’s summer transfer budget explained
There have been aforementioned reports claiming the club could spend as much as £150million this summer.
However, Newcastle’s spending power could be halved if they don’t beat Everton on Sunday.
That clearly doesn’t mean players will instantly need to be sold but it seems there will be a significant difference in terms of the potential incomings depending on what happens with the Champions League.
The Newcastle United owners appear to have ambitious plans, regardless of what happens on Sunday. Still, surely few would doubt those plans will be easier to achieve if they claim a spot in next season’s Champions League.
