Jordan Henderson has lifted the lid on his future amid suggestions he could join Rangers as part of Steven Gerrard's potential management team.
Social media has been awash with rumours and reports over the next permanent Rangers boss - with Liverpool icon Gerrard remaining the frontrunner with Russell Martin and Davide Ancelotti also in the running.
There have been reports that Ajax and England star Henderson could be joining Gerrard in a player-coach capacity should he land the Ibrox hot seat once again.
Title-winning Rangers boss Gerrard previously took Henderson from Anfield to Al-Ettifaq - and could look to snap up the 35-year-old in a blockbuster move as part of the new era following San Francisco 49ers -backed takeover
Reports of a potential Ajax exit for Rangers have now exploded in the Netherlands - with AD suggesting the Dutch giants are "prepared" to allow Henderson to leave for a destination of his choice noting claims about a reunion with Gerrard in Glasgow.
Speaking to the outlet about his future - with his contract set to run until 2026 - the midfielder said: "It depends on which direction the club wants to go. They have to make tough decisions."

Goalkeeper Jack Butland's example shows how hard it can be to make the England squad while playing in the Scottish Premiership - with Gareth Southgate failing to call up the goalkeeper for Euro 2024 despite several scouting missions north of the border from Three Lion's staff and even the then-boss.
Going into the clashes with Andorra and Senegal, Tuchel defender his decision to keep Henderson in the squad.
He said: "I can understand it but once you meet Jordan and speak to him it is such an obvious choice.
“Maybe your perception seems far away from mine but I can understand the question. It is not Adam Wharton versus Jordan Henderson.
“What Jordan brings to the group an under-21 player cannot bring. It is just impossible from personality and experience.
"Jordan is also more than happy to accept the challenge and he wants no gifts and presents."
