Man United are set to let three first-team players leave the club next month ahead of a potential mass exodus from Old Trafford.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed what his sources have told him about United’s transfer plans.
Jonny Evans, Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof will be the first to leave when their contracts expire next month which will free space on their wage bill.
This comes amid growing financial concerns, with around 200 Man United staff expected to be sacked in the wake of their Europa League final defeat to Tottenham.
However, it is not just behind the scenes where major departures are taking place as a number of first-team players will be allowed to leave the club.
Former United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider on 22 May that Man United want to sell Rasmus Hojlund in a bid to raise funds.

Man United to sell before they buy amid Matheus Cunha latest
After missing out on Champions League qualification and the money that comes along with it, there is a growing possibility the club will have to sell before they buy.
However, Football Insider revealed that United are in advanced talks with Matheus Cunha with the deal ready to be announced soon, meaning players will have to leave.
O’Rourke explained that Evans, Eriksen and Lindelof will be the first to leave Old Trafford ahead of what is expected to be a busy summer window.
“*They’ve got some players who are out of contract,*” he told Football Insider.
“Jonny Evans, Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof.
“They will all leave on free transfers at the end of the season.
“That will obviously help save on their wage bill.”

Antoine Semenyo and Bryan Mbeumo updates emerge
While a potential clear-out remains on the cards at Old Trafford, Ruben Amorim remains keen to strengthen his squad ahead of the summer transfer window.
Brown told Football Insider on 22 May that Antoine Semenyo and Bryan Mbeumo are key targets at Old Trafford and United will push to do the deals.
However, United will not sign both Semenyo and Mbeumo this summer and a decision will be made to prioritise one deal after initial talks.
Brown told Football Insider earlier this month that United are preparing a move for Semenyo and scouts have been been impressed by his performances.
