The 22-year-old has a £30m relegation release clause, which has attracted top Premier League clubs after the Blues’ return to the Championship was confirmed.
Kieran McKenna confirmed that Town have allowed Delap to open talks with other clubs, including Manchester United, having met officials face-to-face ahead of the 2-0 defeat to Leicester City.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Delap has also met with Chelsea executives, while Moyes revealed that he has also opted to talk to Everton ahead of a potential move to Merseyside.
“He's spoken to three or four clubs and you know, he's given us the opportunity to pitch our case,” the manager said in a press conference yesterday.
“We're probably a little bit behind the black ball, but you never know what happens.”
