David Moyes has made it clear that players will be exiting this summer, but he also might see fit to get rid of backroom staff.
There is a sense of ruthlessness at Everton, and fans have been desperately waiting for a competent board to come in and start making these choices.
The Friedkin Group have offered pay cuts to players such as Abdoulaye Doucoure and Ashley Young, in a way of stamping their foot down.
Fans will love the stark contrast between their tenure under Farhad Moshiri, who was seemingly afraid of making the big calls.
But with Moyes getting rid of major stars in his squad, he has made it clear that coaches are also in the firing line, and one staff member is under serious threat.

David Moyes might hint that Charlie Adam is under threat at Everton
The Scotsman wants the best for Everton, and by doing that, he will have to make sacrifices that even for him are hard to make.
Moyes wanted Doucoure to stay, but he won’t linger on his exit with the Everton boss firmly fixed on the future.
In this future, there could be a controversial move for Liverpool’s Ben Doak, as Moyes is clearly willing to break the barrier in terms of the unusual.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
What is also unusual is seeing a manager turn on the backroom staff he arrived with, and Moyes could be about to do exactly that.
In the pre-match press conference for the final game of the season at Newcastle, Moyes sent a warning to his staff members.
“There’s a few bits and pieces I may change, I just need to see if we can make that happen,” Moyes said.
“We are having a look at one or two things.”
Alarm bells will now be ringing for set-piece coach Charlie Adam who was hired by Moyes, as Everton fans want him sacked.
This comes after Adam’s arrival not providing any improvement to what Everton use so well in their set-plays, and if anything, it’s got worse.

How Adam has worsened Everton’s set-pieces under Moyes
Somehow, despite the major success of set-pieces under Sean Dyche, it’s the one thing Everton seem to be lacking under Moyes.
Adam was a brilliant set-piece taker back in his playing days, so it’s clear to see why the Scotsman decided to hire the former Liverpool man.
But for some reason nothing is clicking and Moyes has been left furious by Adam’s ways.
Looking at their statistics under Dyche, 35.2 per cent of their total xG in 2023/24 and the opening 19 fixtures of 2024/25 came from set-pieces, and although this wasn’t sustainable football, Moyes would do anything to have that part of the game in his plans now.
The Toffees boss even admitted this with Moyes jealous of Dyche’s set-piece success.
Although this isn’t all down to Adam with Moyes labelling players’ deliveries as ‘rubbish’, Adam is on a tightrope as his coaching definitely doesn’t seem to be doing the trick.
Now, Moyes could be brutal in the coming weeks, with the Scottish coach potentially worried about his Everton future.
