It’s official. Mohamed Salah is your Premier League 2024-25 Player of the Season, with [Liverpool](https://liverpooloffside.sbnation.com/)’s superstar Egyptian forward today handed the league’s top individual prize. He was joined on the honour roll by teammate Ryan Gravenberch, who was named the league’s Young Player of the Season.
Salah will look to put an exclamation mark on Player of the Season honours on Sunday against Crystal Palace in the final game of the season, when he is likely to officially go down as the first player to be named the league’s PotY, win the Golden Boot as top scorer, and the Golden Playmaker for recording the most assists.
In those categories, Salah has five more goals and six more assists at present than his nearest competitors—though adding to his 28 goals and 18 assists in the league might be a tough ask with Liverpool having rather been on holiday since wrapping up their 20th domestic league title a month ago.
For Salah, it’s the second award for player of the season he’s pocketed, following up his Football Writers’ Award won with 90% of the vote—more than any other player this century. Meanwhile, Gravenberch was clear favourite in his category as the only player up for both Player and Young Player of the Season.
