FC Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has confirmed that the club has been informed about Florian Wirtz’ preference for Liverpool.
“Max Eberl [Bayern’s director of sport] informed me that Florian Wirtz is probably leaning towards Liverpool.”
Therefore, Liverpool have seemingly won the race for Florian Wirtz.
This will be a huge blow for Bayern Munich, who up until this week were extremely confident on the possibility of purchasing the 22-year-old as they were convinced Wirtz wanted to continue to develop in Germany and assert himself as one of the best players of the country’s new generation.
