The dynamics of the Bill Belichick-Jordon Hudson relationship continue to be weird.
It started with the age gap between the 73-year-old North Carolina head coach and the 24-year-old. However, the relationship received national attention following a disastrous CBS interview, where Hudson was shown controlling the questions Belichick could be asked.
The former New England Patriots head coach reportedly hired a new public relations representative, but Hudson still controls many of Belichick’s business dealings. That included a podcast appearance last week that seemed relatively normal.
“His old lady is different,” Channing Crowder said on WQAM’s Hochman and Crowder, per Awful Announcing. “She lurks. It’s weird to know him as Coach Belichick running the entire organization as GM, head coach, talent coordinator, all that stuff, and then to see this tiny little 95-pound girl pretty much telling him what to do.”
Crowder co-hosts “The Pivot” with Ryan Clark, who conducted what looked like a regular interview with Belichick. The topic of Hudson came up, but Belichick quickly brushed it off before talking about his new book and other football stories.

“She was there. She kind of coordinates and brand manages,” Crowder said during his radio show. “She has her paws on the situation. It’s different… it was weird to be around Belichick and Jordon. I don’t see Belichick in that light. But he just smiles and nods.”
Crowder said that Hudson “choreographed the open” to the interview but didn’t offer details regarding what that meant.
It was notable from Belichick’s “Good Morning America” interview with Michael Strahan that the “GMA” host had to clarify that Hudson was not on the set. Belichick was testy during the questions about Hudson, but things seemed to still go smooth.
The story continues to evolve with new videos and information about the local New England scene revealed seemingly on a weekly basis. It’ll be interesting to see how things go once June comes along and Belichick’s buyout drops from $10 million to $1 million.
