Dallas Cowboys: Fans Blame Dez Bryant For NHL Team’s Loss on Friday

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is having himself quite a time of late, as he’s been enjoying not just the NBA Playoffs but also the postseason action over in the NHL.

On Friday, Bryant was among the thousands in attendance for Game 2 of the series between the Edmonton Oilers and the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center in Dallas. Of course, Bryant was there to cheer for the Stars, with the NHL sharing a photo of the three-time Pro Bowler in a Stars jersey and a cowboy hat.

“DEZ IS IN THE HOUSE 🏈 Former @dallascowboys star, @dezbryant, is taking in Game 2 of the Western Conference Final! #StanleyCup,” thepostread.

However, many fans seemed to unjustly blame Bryant for how things turned out for the Stars in the game, as Dallas ended up losing the contest 3-0.

Here are some of the comments from the NHL’s Bryant post:

“This why we losing 🙄”

“Makes sense with the score…”

“so that’s why Edmonton’s winning tonight”

“No wonder we got blown😆😔”

“Explains the loss”“So that’s why yall losing having dallas cowboys there”

“So it’s his fault, got it.”

As for the game itself, the Oilers leveled the series against the Stars at 1-1, thanks to their brilliant effort on both sides of the ice. Edmonton got on the board in the first period in Game 2 with a goal on the power play by Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. The Oilers also scored twice in the second frame before a scoreless third period for both teams.

Edmonton goalie Stuart Skinner had a huge performance between the pipes, turning away all of 25 shots on goal by the Stars, who will look to grab the series lead again in Game 3 on Sunday at Rogers Place in Edmonton.
