Man United and Chelsea are both keen to sign talented goalscorer this summer. The player is very young and already impressing in Premier League. As of now, the Red Devils are leading the race ahead of the Blues.
Chelsea are set to sign another striker this summer. Enzo Maresca has felt a need to add another number nine. Nicolas Jackson had a good start to the season but failed to materialize. On the other hand, Marc Guiu is still very young. Hence, a new striker is amongst the top priority.
On the other hand, United are also keen to sign new striker. They are having a very tough season right now. Hence, Ruben Amorim is keen to improve the squad and will be backed by the board. The Red Devils are ready to cash-in on both Hojlund and Zirkzee this summer.
Both United and Chelsea have a common striker on their radar. He is Liam Delap of Ipswich Town. The 22 year old joined the Tractor Boys last summer and has been unstoppable ever since. He has scored 12 goals and picked 2 assists in Premier League so far.
Man United leading Chelsea in race for Liam Delap
According to Football Insider, United are leading Chelsea in the race for Delap. The 22 year old will surely leave Ipswich as they have been relegated. He will cost £30 million which will be looked upon by top clubs as bargain.
Chelsea are likely to play in UCL whereas United will miss every European competition. However, Delap is still leaning towards joining the Red Devils. He may feel like he has better chance to play regularly at Old Trafford as compared to Stamford Bridge.
Delap is also wanted by multiple other top clubs across whole Europe. But, it feels like the 22 year old will stay in England for now. He will have a big say in deciding his future and is expected to make a firm decision in the coming weeks.
