United States President Donald Trump has never been one to mince words on things. That’s true not only in his business and his politics, but also when it comes to discussing sports.
This held when he took a dig at the New York Jets during a public address. In a video that is going viral on TikTok, Trump congratulates former Heisman trophy winner and NFL quarterback Tim Tebow for a great career.
However, Trump says that Tebow managed to have a great career, “despite being on the Jets,” causing everyone in attendance to laugh at the team.
Fans reacted to Trump’s dig on social media.
“Dude starts speaking and just rambles in such an odd cadence, clearly just not thinking clearly anymore, not that he ever was that intelligent,” one fan commented under the TikTok video.
“The work Tim Tebow is spearheading to protect children is commendable. Way to go Tebow! Thank you for bringing attention to his cause, President Trump!” someone else added.
“Tim Tebow the only thing he was good at was getting on his knees to pray as a football player he was as bad as they come,” another person wrote.
“I’ll give you college, but he didn’t have a great career and the pros I had to break it to you, Donnie,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see what Trump has to say about the New York Knicks if they can’t turn things around in their Eastern Conference Finals series against the Indiana Pacers.
