Tommy Watson celebrates after scoring for Sunderland against Sheffield United in the Championship play-off final
Sunderland completed and incredible turnaround to win promotion back to the Premier League in a dramatic Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Wembley finale.
Regis Le Bris made two changes from the side that drew with Coventry City at the Stadium of Light in the second leg, Romaine Mundle and Chris Rigg came into the starting XI in place of Patrick Roberts and Wilson Isidor.
Tyrese Campbell opened the scoring for the Blades in the first-half but Eliezer Mayenda and Tommy Watson were on hand to complete an incredible comeback.
Here's how Chronicle Live rated the Black Cats against Sheffield United
Anthony Patterson 7
Nothing he could do about the Sheffield United opener. Scoreline could have been different had he not pulled of a number of big saves from Kieffer Moore and Andre Brooks.
Trai Hume 7
Solid at right-back and one of the most consistent performers on the day.
Dan Ballard 6
Struggled with Keiffer Moore's physicality but battled on.
Luke O'Nien N/A
Really feel for him having been forced off after just two minutes of play clutching his shoulder. Hopefully the injury isn't too bad.
Dennis Cirkin 4
Struggled early doors to get the ball under control but grew into the game and kept Rhian Brewster quiet for the most part. Bailed out by Patterson on the 70th minute mark after hesitating with a clearance allowed Brooks in on goal.
Dan Neil 4
An uncharacteristic performance and sloppy in possession. Not lacking in effort but just not his day.
Jobe Bellingham 6
Like Neil, struggled but as the game wore on, grew into the game and helped turn the tide in Sunderland's favour.
Chris Rigg 6
Started really brightly and was tidy in possession. Grafted hard albeit with little threat in the final third before being replaced just before the hour mark.
Enzo Le Fee 6
Tried to make things happen and showed glimpses of quality but Sunderland didn't get him on the ball enough. Grew into the game in the second-half.
Romaine Mundle 5
Struggled with the pace of the game though no fault of his own, just a player who hasn't played enough football after coming back from injury.
Eliezer Mayenda 6
Was poor in the first-half and struggled against Sheffield United's two centre-halves but scored the all important equaliser.
Substitutes
Chris Mepham 6
Brought some nous to the backline and was steady if nothing spectacular.
Patrick Roberts 8
Brilliant ball in behind to find Mayenda for the equaliser. Changed the game and caused Sheffield United a lot of problems when he came off the bench.
Tommy Watson 8
Brought some much needed energy out on the left when Mundle had ran out of steam. SCORED THAT GOAL!
Wilson Isidor 6
Gave a different dynamic for Sheffield United to think about and pushed the Blades back.
