The Dallas Cowboys struggled through the 2024 NFL season, missing the playoffs and finishing the year with a 6-11 record. It was a tough season that also saw Dak Prescott go down with a season-ending injury.
Prescott played in just eight games before going down for the year. He is hungry to get back on the field in 2025 and help lead the Cowboys back to success.
A lot of changes have been made by Jerry Jones and company. The obvious big change is moving on from head coach Mike McCarthy and bringing in Brian Schottenheimer to replace him.
Looking ahead to the 2025 season, there is a fresh era beginning in Dallas. Prescott and company will have a clean slate with a new coaching staff and system in place. Fans are ready to get their first look at it.

When it comes to Prescott, the 31-year-old quarterback has received a head-turning prediction for the upcoming campaign.
Pro Football Focus analyst Ryan Smith has predicted that Prescott will be one of the top contenders for the Comeback Player of the Year award.
Throughout his career, Prescott has had some huge years and others have been disappointing. He has been an MVP candidate on multiple occasions.
Last season in eight games, Prescott completed 64.7 percent of his pass attempts for 1,978 yards, 11 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Even with him on the field, the team compiled a 3-5 record. Jerry Jones went out and tried to improve the roster around his franchise quarterback.
George Pickens was the biggest addition in a post-draft trade. The combination of CeeDee Lamb and Pickens will give Prescott arguably the best wide receiver duo in the NFL.

To help fix the issues at running back, the Cowboys signed both Miles Sanders and Javonte Williams. Those two moves should help take some pressure off of Prescott's arm.
All the pieces are in place for Dallas to make a big step in the right direction. If Prescott can bounce back with a big year like Pro Football Focus is suggesting, the Cowboys could very well find themselves back in the playoffs.
Dallas will kick off the 2025 NFL season with a Sept. 4 rivalry matchup on the road against the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles. That matchup will give the Cowboys a chance to put the league on notice right off the bat.
