Arsenal have won the Women's Champions League after stunning holders Barcelona. Stina Blackstenius' 74th-minute goal was enough to seal a 1-0 victory in Lisbon and see the Gunners win the competition for the second time in their history.
Barca had claimed the last two editions of the Women's Champions League and were heavily favoured, but the Catalan giants couldn't make it three in a row. They were also on for the quadruple this season.
Arsenal, meanwhile, last won the trophy in 2007. It caps a remarkable first season for ex-interim boss Renee Slegers, who was appointed on a permanent basis in January.
Thousands of Gunners fans flocked to the Estadio Jose Alvalade, home of Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon. The goal came after Beth Mead picked out Blackstenius with a brilliant pass and the Swede finished with aplomb.
Arsenal navigated seven torturous minutes of added time to clinch the trophy.
