It is seen as an unwanted trait, but there have previously been players who’ve swapped Liverpool for Everton.
The relevance of this comes after Liverpool’s Ben Doak being on Everton’s radar in what will be a transfer which will shock Merseyside.
It’s obviously early proceedings, but David Moyes clearly likes his fellow Scotsman after impressing on loan with Middlesbrough.
As much as both clubs don’t want it to happen, Liverpool fans can see Jarrad Branthwaite join, which Evertonians will have their doubts about.
The transfer could become a part of a very rare collection, and the last five Everton players who swapped Red for Blue dates back to before the 2000s.

Everton will want to try and improve their squad sustainably, and fans might not be too keen on Doak’s £30m price tag.
It’s a risk that the Toffees boss might be willing to take after Moyes admired Championship talent.
This could be a firm strategy for Everton, but signing a player from Liverpool is unheard of for a lot of fans nowadays.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Well, for the older generation of Evertonians, this was a reality, but the fees were nowhere near the £30m fee as quoted for the winger.
Here are the five most recent players who controversially made the jump from Anfield to Goodison Park.

What Doak can offer Everton if £30m Liverpool move happens
The 19-year-old was a player looked upon with promise by Jurgen Klopp, as the former Reds manager handed him his Premier League debut.
This will already be a good sign for Moyes, going off Klopp’s pedigree, but the Everton boss seems to want Doak as a priority.
Moyes wants a winger, that has been made clear since January, but after a strong loan stint in the Championship, Doak can give Everton a hard-working forward who shows creativity and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.
Doak’s statistics in the Championship (24/25)
Games played 24
Assists 7
Chances created per 90 2.22
Pass accuracy % 83.9%
Duels won 90
Moyes will know the uproar that could be caused from this deal, but The Friedkin Group clearly trust in the Scotsman to improve the current squad.
His lack of Premier League experience is a worry for £30m, but at just 19, it could be a bargain for the Toffees and one which Liverpool could come to regret, which would make the transfer even sweeter.
