Giannis Antetokounmpo Has Hilarious Reaction to Achieving Historic 7th-Straight All-NBA First…

The Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo was announced as being on the All-NBA First Team once again for the 2024-25 season on Friday. The achievement marks Antetokounmpo’s seventh straight time on the first team, and while the accolades are both impressive and historic, the Greek Freak had a reaction to a different part of the news that left fans laughing out loud.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Achieves Historic 7th-Straight All-NBA First Team

Giannis Antetokounmpo is once again representing the Milwaukee Bucks on the All-NBA First Team. After averaging 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists over the 2024-25 regular season, Antetokounmpo joined Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Denver’s Nikola Jokic, Cleveland’s Donovan Mitchell, and Boston’s Jayson Tatum on the league’s best five of the season.

The achievement marks Antetokounmpo’s seventh straight time on the All-NBA First Team, only the ninth player in NBA history to do such a thing. Giannis is now among the company of players like LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, and Karl Malone.

However, when Antetokounmpo reacted to the news on Instagram, it had more to do with the photo of himself than his historic accomplishment.

When the All-NBA teams were announced on Friday, Antetokounmpo was quick to react to the news via Instagram. The Bucks superstar happily asserted that he “looks cute” in the picture posted on the NBA’s official account when announcing the awards.

Antetokounmpo then thanked the NBA in a reply to his original comment. Even if he took the chance to make a lighthearted joke, the magnitude of his accomplishment is surely not lost on him.

Antetokounmpo is known for his hilarious internet interactions. Just last week, he hosted a makeshift Twitter Q&A with fans and fielded questions on everything from European football news, his favorite video games, and what the best cheese is. He even had some things to say about on-court topics.

While all the news around Antetokounmpo continues to be around his potential departure from Milwaukee, it’s satisfying to see Giannis continue to get his flowers and enjoy the special moments of his career.
