Jude Bellingham was among the hordes of people who rushed to congratulate his younger brother, Jobe, after the Sunderland midfielder and his team-mates clinched promotion to the Premier League at Wembley.

Bellingham was named in the starting line-up for Saturday's blockbuster Championship play-off final between the Black Cats and Sheffield United. The match was decided in the 95th minute when Tommy Watson struck to give Sunderland a 2-1 victory after coming back from a goal down against Chris Wilder's side.

And after Bellingham and Co had their moment under the famous Wembley arch, Jude shared a clip of him congratulating his brother on FaceTime.

The image, which was quickly shared on social media, showed Jobe with a winners medal in his mouth. Jude captioned the post "So f***ing proud! complete with three 'up' emojis.

While Sunderland will once again grace the Premier League next season, there has been plenty of speculation over Jobe's future. The classy 19-year-old midfield maestro is understood to have an array of high-profile suitors.

Among them are Borussia Dortmund, the same Bundesliga club where Jude flourished after leaving Birmingham City as a teenager.

There was only one thing one Jobe's mind after sealing promotion, though. "It means everything to everyone here for all the staff, for everyone involved. It’s all the club have been aiming to achieve for eight years," he told Sky Sports.

"Every single player has spoken about it when they have come here to get this club back to the Premier League and so many have failed but I take a lot of pride in saying that I am one of the players who has helped this great club get back to where it belongs.

"I always believed, you have to believe, when you have supporters like this and a group of lads like this, you have to believe."

Regis Le Bris, the Sunderland head coach, added: "It was a weird game, we didn't start well I think, maybe a bit nervous. We knew before that they could be clinical and they were.

"After that I think this game represents the way that we play this season - with resilience, with discipline to get back into the game and we have talented players so we can score."
