Leeds United’s presence back in the Premier League is a welcome addition due to their incredible fanbase.
The Elland Road atmosphere gracing the top flight again will be a brilliant addition to a season where the Whites are expected to struggle.
Many believe the three going up from this year’s Championship will be relegated straight away, but Troy Deeney fancies Burnley to stay up.
Daniel Farke has the chance to prove a lot of people wrong, but to even have their status as a Premier League club should be applauded.
Someone who is looking forward to the next campaign is former Leeds assistant manager Gus Poyet, and it’s clear where his loyalties lie.

Gus Poyet makes a claim about Leeds United fans
The Uruguayan manager is now managing in Japan with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.
But Whites fans will remember him being Dennis Wise’s right-hand man at Leeds during the dark tenure between 2006 and 2007.
A big part of his career came at Chelsea, which has been notoriously known to be a big rival for the Whites.
MORE LEEDS UNITED STORIES
But Poyet is still a keen follower of Farke’s side and has previously weighed on debates as Poyet labelled Illan Meslier as ‘superb’ last season.
There has obviously been a switch since then, but Poyet once again has talked on the club to Flashscore, and has given praise to Leeds’ fans whilst putting his loyalty to Chelsea aside.
“The crowd, the city. Unbelievable. I promise you, it’s unbelievable,” Poyet said.
“I know that the Chelsea fans will hate me for saying that, because in the ’70s they were killing each other, but I’m not going to lie.
“I was there, and the support was unbelievable. We were playing League One football, we were going away and taking 10,000 people. It was spectacular. We had the whole stand behind the goal, it was all Leeds United.”

What Poyet thought of Daniel Farke at Leeds United
The manager had great success stories during his career, and no doubt he would be welcomed back to Yorkshire.
Playing his role in a difficult period for Leeds will surely be appreciated by fans who are now experiencing what is hopefully and upwards trajectory now.
The former assistant coach also seems to have a good mindset when it comes to managers, as right at the start of the season, Poyet trusted Farke to succeed at Leeds.
Back in September that was a bold prediction to make after Leeds’ failure to get promoted and dismal start to the season.
Leeds’ opening five fixtures this Championship season
Leeds 3-3 Portsmouth
West Brom 0-0 Leeds
Sheffield Wednesday 0-2 Leeds
Leeds 2-0 Hull City
Leeds 0-1 Burnley
But Poyet backed the German and it paid off, and now with this new claim, he might have just gained a few more Leeds fans, and lost a bit of his Chelsea support.
