The Pittsburgh Steelers are still waiting to see if veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers will sign with them. Pittsburgh has been patiently waiting for Rodgers to make a decision, and all signs point to him landing in the Steel City.

But until that firmly happens, everyone is left waiting around. This includes all the players on the Steelers roster, and many have weighed in on the situation.
Steelers star linebacker Alex Highsmith weighed in on the Rodgers situation, showing excitement for potentially having him around.
"I get asked a lot by my peers and some friends who are fans and stuff like that," Highsmith said when asked how often he was asked about Rodgers and if it was a distraction. "I just feel like in the locker room, we're in there working and I think that's just really what it's about at this point. I know that if he does sign, we're definitely going to be really excited to have him. We know who he is. He's a Hall of Fame quarterback. He's one of the best to ever do it.
"I wouldn't say it's a distraction at all, but we all know what type of quarterback he is and what he brings to the table."
For the most part, it seems that the Steelers are ready to welcome Rodgers if he decides to join the team. Adding a proven winner to this team could change everything for Pittsburgh and give them a good shot to compete next season.
Rodgers is coming off a decent year, at least statistically, with the New York Jets. For the season, the veteran threw for 3,897 yards with 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
Due to his age, the Steelers likely see Rodgers as a stop-gap quarterback, but one who could lead them to the Super Bowl. The Pittsburgh roster is fairly well-rounded, otherwise than at the quarterback position, putting more emphasis on the thought that Rodgers will end up with the Steelers.
The two sides could work well together and give Rodgers another chance to win a title. But the waiting game continues, and at least right now, there doesn't seem to be any end in sight.
