Guardiola only targeting win at Fulham

Pep Guardiola says he will only ever send his teams out to win games.

City need one more point to secure Champions League qualification, but while a draw in our final game against Fulham would be enough, the Blues boss says it is not in his team’s DNA to be cautious and just avoid defeat.

“It’s not going to happen,” said Pep.

“If it happened [before] it’s because we are playing bad, or the opponents are much better than us.

“It happened a few times this season where we wanted to do it, but it didn’t work and we have to defend - if we don’t have the ball and they run, you have to run back.

“But the best way to get a result is to try to play to win the game.

“The manager is good if you win, if not, the decision was wrong.

“If you make any plan and you win, it’s really good. We are judged for the results not for our approach.

“I thought after many years it could be like that, but it’s not. For manager’s it’s good if they win, if they don’t win, they have problems.”
