Eagles Lineman Called Underappreciated Star of 2025 Defense

As a team that just won the Super Bowl, the Philadelphia Eagles know how dominant their roster is from top to bottom.

And …

Despite losing several starters from that championship team, the organization still believes they have plenty of the league's best at each position.

Along with the plethora of stars, there are still some underrated performers from Philadelphia's title squad returning that can keep them in title contention.

NFL.com's Gennaro Filice believes that former seventh round pick Moro Ojomo is at the top of the list of underappreciated standouts currently preparing for more this season.

"Admittedly, this is my biggest projection in this exercise, given that the 2023 seventh-round pick has played just 456 defensive snaps in the NFL," Filice wrote. "But in the wake of Milton Williams’ departure in free agency, Ojomo is set to assume a bigger role, and I think he’ll seize the opportunity.

"Why? Well, among interior defenders with at least 300 pass-rushing snaps last season, Ojomo boasted PFF’s second-highest win rate (18.2%), trailing only Chris Jones (18.8%)."

Replacing Williams will not be easy for the interior of the Eagles defensive line. If the Texas product Ojomo can get somewhere close to what Williams showed, though, the Eagles line won't suffer a massive setback in 2025.

Ojomo seems ready for an increase in playing time. The Eagles are prepared to give it to him.

Only time will tell if it will work out for both sides, though.
