Cavaliers React to NBA's Donovan Mitchell Announcement

Donovan Mitchell has been widely regarded as one of the best players in the NBA over the past several years.

This season, Mitchell's third year with the Cleveland Cavaliers, he was named on a prestigious list, honoring him as one of the best players in the NBA

The Cleveland Cavaliers posted the news that was officially announced by the NBA. Mitchell has been named a First Team All-NBA member.

"Donovan Mitchell: First Team All-NBA," posted the official social media account of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Mitchell joined the following players on the All-NBA list: Jayson Tatum, Nikola Jokic, Donovan Mitchell, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

This past season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Donovan Mitchell posted 24.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game.

Mitchell led the Cavaliers to the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, capping off the year with a 64-18 record.

Cleveland defeated the Miami Heat in the first round of the NBA playoffs, but ultimately suffered a loss to the Indiana Pacers in the second round, ending their chances of competing for the Eastern Conference title and potential NBA title.

The following players were included in the Second Team All-NBA announcement: Anthony Edwards, Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Jalen Brunson and Evan Mobley.

The Third Team was rounded out with Tyrese Haliburton, Cade Cunningham, James Harden, Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Williams.

While the Cleveland Cavaliers had a disappointing end to the season, the NBA's recent announcement highlights Donovan Mitchell's success.
