De Ligt, Yoro, Zirkzee - Manchester United latest injury news and return dates as trio to miss…

The confirmed Man Utd team news and injury latest for the Premier League match vs Aston Villa.

Manchester United could rest a key defender when they face Aston Villa in their final Premier League match of the season on Sunday afternoon. Ruben Amorim will hope to end the season on a high and bounce back from the dismal Europa League final defeat, but won’t want to take any risks with his team selection.

United will fly out on their post-season tour of Asia after the match at Old Trafford today, ahead of friendly fixtures in Malaysia and Hong Kong next week. Amorim will name a strong squad for the tour but could also use the opportunity to give some academy hopefuls the chance to impress.

Amorim does not want to risk the fitness of any of his players, but will demand a positive performance from his side to give supporters something to hold onto over the summer months. Here is all the latest injury news for the match:

Manchester United injury latest and return dates

Yoro started the Europa League final but is still not fully fit and should be given a rest. It makes no sense to risk playing him though he could still feature in the post-season tour of Asia.

De Ligt has not recovered from his injury setback yet and it does not make sense to rush him back to action. He should be given the next week off and eye a return in pre-season.

Martinez is still sidelined after he underwent successful surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament injury. There is no specific timeframe on his return to action, but he is expected to be out for at least six months from his surgery at the start of February.

Ruben Amorim issues team news update

"No, there are some situations, like Leny,” he told MUTV. “We have to be careful. We had that in the last [home] game before the final, I think it was West Ham, on his foot.

"We're going to take care of some situations so as not to compromise next season. The rest, we want to win the game so we are going to put a squad together."
