Manchester United take on Aston Villa this afternoon in the final game of a sorry Premier League campaign.

United head into the clash in 16th place in the table and on the back of a disappointing Europa League final defeat to Tottenham which means they won't be playing in Europe next season.

It has been a season to forget for United and they will just want to get the visit of Villa over with so they can begin to move on and look towards rebuilding next season.

But Villa head to Old Trafford knowing a win could secure a Champions League place next season and United's players not only owe a performance to themselves and their supporters tomorrow but to the rest of the league, too.

Ruben Amorim will likely make changes against Villa as he looks to give more experience to some of his younger players and that is reflected in the starting XI we believe he will name.

Andre Onana will retain his place in goal with Harry Maguire and Noussair Mazraoui joined in the back three by youngster Tyler Fredricson.

If Diogo Dalot is fit enough to be involved he should start at right-wing-back with teenager Harry Amass given another opportunity at left-wing-back. Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo will be recalled in the middle of midfield.

Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes are two players United need to build around next season and they will start in the attacking midfield roles.

And amid Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee's struggles, teenage forward Chido Obi should be given another opportunity up front.

Manchester United predicted XI vs Aston Villa: Onana; Fredricson, Maguire, Mazraoui; Dalot, Ugarte, Mainoo, Amass; Amad, Fernandes; Obi
