Manchester City will be looking to confirm their place in next season's Champions League when they face Fulham on the final day of the Premier League season.

A 3-1 win over Bournemouth midweek ensured that City entered the final game of the season in the top five, with Pep Guardiola's side currently sitting on 68 points, just two ahead of sixth-placed Aston Villa and three ahead of Nottingham Forest in seventh.

A win against Fulham would confirm third place and Champions League football for City, but a defeat could see them miss out, depending on results elsewhere.

If Newcastle, Chelsea, and Aston Villa all win while City lose, then Guardiola's side would finish sixth. A draw could also see them drop down the table, but City's superior goal difference means they won't miss out on the top five. So can Guardiola's side confirm their place in the Champions League this weekend? Let's take a look...

We simulated Fulham vs Man City to get a score prediction

To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 25 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.

We predict that Fulham could set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Leno; Tete, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Lukic, Cairney; Wilson, Smith Rowe, Traore; Jimenez.

We predict that City could line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their starting XI as follows: Ederson; Nunes, Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol; Gonzalez, Gundogan; Silva, De Bruyne, Marmoush; Haaland.

A rapid start saw City go ahead after three minutes when Erling Haaland turned Omar Marmoush's cross in at the front post, with the early goal giving Guardiola's side a huge confidence boost. From there, it was all City, and 22 minutes in, Haaland got on the scoresheet again to calm any remaining nerves in the City team.

Guardiola's side patiently passed the ball around as they looked for a way through the Fulham defence, and a great pass from Josko Gvardiol allowed City to break through, with the defender fizzing the ball into the feet of Haaland just inside the box. The striker took the ball in his stride as he held off the defender, and a devastating finish saw him blast a shot into the top corner to make it 2-0.

It took just three minutes for City to score once again at Craven Cottage, with Omar Marmoush curling a shot into the top corner from the edge of the box to make it 3-0 and put City out of sight. It was a dominant performance from City against a lacklustre Fulham side, and just before the break, Kevin De Bruyne scored in his farewell game to top off an incredible first half in the capital.

Marmoush was instrumental in the first half, and he was involved once again as he burst past Kenny Tete with ease on the left before making his way into the box. Marmoush slid the ball into the feet of De Bruyne with the angle too tight to shoot, and after shifting the ball onto his left, the Belgian rifled his shot into the top corner, making it 4-0 before the break.

With such a big lead, Guardiola's side came out quite complacent in the second half, and with 15 minutes to go, Fulham pulled a goal back, with Raul Jimenez beating Ruben Dias to a cross to volley the ball through the legs of Ederson at the near post. The goal proved nothing more than a consolation though, with City easing their way to victory and confirming their place in the Champions League for the following season.
