Arsenal end their Premier League season today against Southampton with Champions League qualification already in the bag.
Kai Havertz made his grand return from injury for the Gunners in the 1-0 win over Newcastle, replacing Bukayo Saka for the final 15 minutes.
The Germany international will hope to start as the season concludes today and add to his tally of 15 goals for the season.
But in a season hampered by injuries, there were more last week with William Saliba picking up a hamstring problem against the Magpies which has brought an early end to his season.
Jurrien Timber meanwhile underwent surgery on his ankle. Neither player is thought to be facing a prolonged spell on the sidelines and will be expected to be fully recovered in time for pre-season later this summer.

Gabriel Magalhaes remains sidelined having undergone hamstring surgery in April with Takehiro Tomiyasu and Gabriel Jesus also still unavailable.
Having missed out on the title, Mikel Arteta’s side still had some work to do last week to ensure they are back at Europe’s top table next season – having fallen short at the semi-final stage against Paris Saint Germain earlier this month.

Southampton meanwhile are heading back down to the Championship rock-bottom in 20th place – but have least spared themselves the indignity of equalling Derby County’s record for fewest points in a season.
