Manchester United fans are about to have the sweet release of this season finally ending and Ruben Amorim has now soothed their biggest worry with what comes next.
After a season straight from hell, it’s an open secret that a revolution is coming at Manchester United, with Ruben Amorim ready to lead it.
It is the first summer transfer window in which Ineos have their own man in charge and he comes with the knowledge of the squad gained in a torturous six months.
However, Man Utd fans had one big worry going into the market which the manager has now moved to calm.

Ruben Amorim calms biggest Man Utd transfer worry
Amorim has repeatedly stressed that United can’t afford to repeat mistakes of their past in the upcoming transfer windows.
That statement rings more true than ever before now that the season has finished with a whimper and frustration in the fanbase at an all-time high.
Many players will be sold and replaced by new arrivals, and the speed of United’s movement can already be seen with the signing of Enzo Kana-Biyik or talks for Matheus Cunha.
However, the fanbase, so wounded by the past, had a major worry that transfers like Antony and Andre Onana would be repeated, this time by Amorim.

A manager singularly leading the transfer policy is never a good idea and Amorim has now accepted that notion, soothing the fans’ biggest worry.
He said: “We have a rule that it’s not just a manager that chooses – it has to be a connection. There is no player that comes here without my approval but the opposite is the same.
“That is important for not just one manager to control everything. We are putting all these things to improve the recruitment.
“For me, the important thing in the recruitment is to know how we are going to play and that is really clear. You can point the specific players you want for those positions and we are doing that together.”
Man Utd have an optimistic future
It feels insane to say this after a season where United could finish 17th with zero trophies, but change is in the air at Old Trafford.
The words coming from Carrington and the ownership make it seem like this is no longer a false dawn, just the pain before the rebuild begins.
The manager and the executive structure are on the same page and there is stability and clarity in terms of who makes the decisions and how they are made.
Of course, the proof will be in the pudding and that pudding is the most important one in United’s post-Sir Alex Ferguson history. The first nine games next season will be era-defining.
Amorim looks fairly confident that he has what it takes.
