The moment Liverpool fans have waited 35 years for will happen in just a few hours. Virgil van Dijk will lift the Premier League above his head following the final game against Crystal Palace at Anfield.

For many fans it will be the first time they have witnessed the Reds lift the league title in person, and for others it will be something they have craved again since May 1990.

In 2020, Liverpool won the Premier League but were unable to lift the trophy in front of fans due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but this time it will be in front of a packed Anfield with over 60,000 fans in attendance.

Arne Slot's side were confirmed as Champions last month after a convincing 5-1 win against Tottenham at Anfield.

Crowds are expected to gather around the stadium for a huge celebration. Liverpool city centre and pubs across the city are also preparing for a busy day as fans prepare to see the trophy lifted.

The celebrations could go until the early hours of the morning and then there's the parade on Monday.

We'll be bringing you updates throughout the day from Anfield and Liverpool city centre.
