Jonathan Northcroft, the Sunday Times’ football correspondent, suggests that Harry Wilson’s first derby goal against Brentford in November – when Fulham fought back from a goal down to win the west London derby with two stoppage-time goals from the Welshman – was ‘arguably the goal of the season’
In article selecting his sixteen goals of the season, Northcroft writes in [today’s paper](https://www.thetimes.com/article/b02516bc-3815-46e9-b99b-7d89938525ff):
“The contributions of substitutes seemed more important than ever this season, and Fulham had the most ‘super’ subs of them all: Harry Wilson and Rodrigo Muniz, who led the table for goals by players coming off the bench. Wilson had come on in the 82nd minute and scored twice in added time to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 victory, the first with the most audacious of flicks. Arguably the goal of the season”.
Perhaps Wilson’s wonderful winner in Hounslow a week ago came too late for a reordering of the list?
