Official: Barcelona squad announced for Athletic Club clash in La Liga

FC Barcelona are set to play their last game of the 2024-25 season, as they face Athletic Club at San Mames tonight. After losing their game against Villarreal, the Blaugranes will be looking to win this upcoming match to end their memorable season on a strong note.

Although there is not much at stake in this game, some Barcelona players will still be looking to reach some personal goals. The Pichichi award seems to be out of Robert Lewandowski’s reach after Kylian Mbappe’s brace last night, but Lamine Yamal can beat one of his idol Neymar’s dribbling records in this match.

Furthermore, this can also be the last game in a Blaugrana shirt for some players who are quite likely to leave the club this summer. These players include Wojciech Szczesny, Inaki Pena, Ansu Fati, Pablo Torre, and Pau Victor.

Despite the low stakes involved in this game, Hansi Flick has announced quite a strong squad for this game. Players like Jules Kounde, Marc Bernal, and Ferran Torres remain unavailable to physical problems.

However, Ronald Araujo has returned to the list after having missed the last game with a knee problem. Inigo Martinez also returns to the team after having missed the last game due to suspension.
