After 20 minutes, Irene Paredes slipped the ball into her own goal after a cross from Maanum. However, after a VAR check, the goal was annulled. This was due to an offside on the Norwegian international. Maanum had a good chance a little later, but Barcelona goalkeeper Cata Coll saved the ball.
After the break, Clàudia Pina shot against the crossbar for Barcelona. The ball then fell to Caroline Graham Hansen, but Arsenal got the ball away.

After Arsenal’s lead, Ingrid Syrstad Engen was substituted for Barcelona, but the Spaniards were unable to come back in the match and lost the final for the third time since 2019. Only Wolfsburg has lost more finals in the tournament’s history with four. Lyon and Umeå have also lost three times.
Mariona Caldentey left Barcelona last summer and signed for Arsenal. On Saturday, she could celebrate a new Champions League title. Caldentey started her Barcelona career in 2018.
Barcelona swept both Wolfsburg (10-2 on aggregate) in the quarter-finals and Chelsea (8-2) in the semi-finals. Arsenal, in turn, knocked out Lyon in the semi-finals after losing the first leg.
Lyon is the most successful team in the tournament’s history with eight titles.
