Manchester United confirm brutal Alejandro Garnacho decision for Aston Villa fixture

The confirmed Man Utd line up and team news vs Aston Villa.

Alejandro Garnacho might have played his final Manchester United match after he was left out of their squad to face Aston Villa on the last day of the Premier League season. Ruben Amorim has made three changes from the side that lost 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final as Altay Bayindir, Ayden Heaven and Victor Lindelof start in place of Andre Onana, Leny Yoro and Luke Shaw.

United will hope to end a disappointing season on a high against a Villa side that must win at Old Trafford if they are to keep their dreams of Champions League qualification alive. It means Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes keep their roles in central midfield, with United also unchanged in attack.

Amad Diallo and Mason Mount start in the two attacking midfield roles and Rasmus Hojlund has been selected to lead the line. Yoro, Shaw and Joshua Zirkzee all drop out of the squad entirely after they feature in the Europa League final loss.

Alejandro Garnacho might have played final match

Ruben Amorim has informed Alejandro Garnacho he will be allowed to leave the club in the summer transfer window after he questioned the decision to be named on the bench for the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur. “It's obviously tough for everyone after this season, which was really s**t, both now and after losing the Community Shield. We didn't beat anyone. Up until the final, I played every round, I helped the team. Today, playing 20 minutes... I don't know,” he told Tyc Sports in Bilbao.

The Athletic revealed that Amorim addressed the United squad at the club’s Carrington training ground on Saturday to inform them of his intention to stay at the club and plans to sell Garnacho this summer.

Asked about Garnacho at his pre-match press conference ahead of the Aston Villa clash, Amorim told reporters: "I will speak with my players but the focus is the last game. I don't know what is going to happen but we have a plan.”
