Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has named his Nottingham Forest team to take on Chelsea in this afternoon’s final-day decider.
Whatever happens today, it has been an incredible season for the Reds. They are already guaranteed some form of European competition next term, it just remains to be decided which one.
There is still a chance it could be the Champions League. The battle to make it to Europe’s elite club competition has come right down to the wire.
Forest go into this afternoon’s clash on the back of last weekend’s 2-1 win over West Ham United, which kept their hopes of securing a top five finish alive. Nuno has stuck with the same starting XI from the clash in the capital.
Murillo has recovered from an ankle problem to once again partner Nikola Milenkovic in the heart of the back line. Ola Aina and Neco Williams will complete the defensive line-up ahead of goalkeeper Matz Sels.
Ibrahim Sangare and Elliot Anderson will make up the midfield against the Blues. Anthony Elanga, Morgan Gibbs-White and Nicolas Dominguez will provide attacking support for front man Chris Wood. The bench will be made up of Carlos Miguel, Morato, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Harry Toffolo, Jota Silva, Ryan Yates, Ramon Sosa, Danilo and Willy Boly.
Ahead of kick-off, the Reds are seventh in the Premier League table on 65 points. Manchester City (68), Newcastle United, Chelsea and Aston Villa (all 66) are also fighting to bag a place in the Champions League.
Forest’s focus must be on doing their bit by toppling the Blues so they can at least overtake them in the table. To make the top five they need to win and then hope Newcastle and/or Villa drop points against Everton and Manchester United respectively.
