Ipswich Town have discovered their Championship opponents for the 2025/26 Championship campaign following today's League One play-off final.
The Blues have been relegated from the Premier League alongside Leicester City and Southampton, while Leeds United and Burnley secured automatic promotion to return to the top flight.
They will be joined by Sunderland, who beat Sheffield United 2-1 in yesterday's Championship play-off final thanks to a stoppage-time strike from Tommy Watson.
As a result, there will be no trip to the Stadium of Light for Town next season, but the Blades will remain in the second tier, failing to bounce back at the first time of asking, setting up a first meeting against the Blues since April 2019.
In League One, Birmingham City and Wrexham have been promoted alongside Charlton Athletic, who beat Leyton Orient 1-0 at Wembley today to seal their place in the Championship.
Ipswich haven't faced the Addicks since beating them 6-0 at Portman Road on the way to securing promotion from League One in April 2023.
