Carlos Alcaraz and Dominic Calvert-Lewin decisions made as Everton players set for farewells

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been named on the Everton bench for what could be his final game for the club.

The striker’s future remains uncertain with the Blues yet to announce whether the 28-year-old will still be at the club next season. He is one of more than a dozen senior players whose contracts is due to expire in a summer of transition on and off the pitch.

Despite Everton having confirmed a final position of 13th, David Moyes has kept faith with Beto, whose goals were crucial to pulling clear of trouble earlier this year.

Moyes has made four changes from the side that defeated Southampton 2-0 in the final men’s game at Goodison Park last Sunday. Two were enforced, with Ashley Young and Michael Keane replacing the injured Seamus Coleman and Jarrad Branthwaite.

Meanwhile, Abdoulaye Doucoure is on the bench for his final game as a Blue and has been replaced by loanee Carlos Alcaraz, who has one final shot at convincing Everton to make his move permanent. Fellow loanee Jack Harrison replaces Dwight McNeil in what is likely to be the Leeds United winger’s final game for Everton.

Back-up goalkeepers Asmir Begovic and Joao Virginia, who are both leaving this summer, have made a bench that also includes loanee Armando Broja and Nathan Patterson, McNeil, Youssef Chermiti and academy centre back Reece Welch.
