Mikel Arteta faces a huge summer
Arsenal are gearing up for a massive summer transfer window as they aim to bag some silverware next season.
The Gunners haven't tasted victory since their FA Cup win in 2020 and didn't manage to capitalise on Man City's dip in form, reports the Mirror.
The north London side also stumbled in the Champions League, bowing out in the quarter-finals to Paris Saint-Germain despite a thrilling win over Real Madrid in the last 16. However, Arsenal co-chairman Josh Kroenke has declared that the club is ready to "invest" in the squad this summer.
Mikel Arteta has his sights set on boosting the attack, while Arsenal are confident of a £51million deal for Martin Zubimendi already being sorted after the Real Sociedad midfielder turned down Liverpool last summer.
With all this in mind, Daily Star Sport has rounded up the latest news and whispers from the Emirates....

Sky Sports Germany reports that Arsenal are in discussions with RB Leipzig for a hefty transfer of striker Benjamin Sesko.
The report suggests that Leipzig are prepared to sell the 21 year old following their failure to secure a Champions League spot and Arsenal's sporting director Andrea Berta is believed to have reached out to his counterpart Marcel Schafer to hash out a deal.
Leipzig's asking price is reportedly more than €80million (£67m), but they're open to negotiating the payment terms which could make the deal more feasible for the Gunners.

Arsenal's interest in Newcastle's Alexander Isak is no secret, but they've been cautioned that securing a deal won't be a walk in the park.
"I think, you know, he's absolutely lauded as a centre forward in Newcastle, so why would he want to go," former Premier League striker Teddy Sheringham shared with Prime Casino.
"He might not want to change. It doesn't get much better than fans loving you, and your team playing to the best aspects of your game, and you are the focal point.
"You're earning good money and you're in the team. You're playing at the top level and players understand you and your manager loves you. So, you know, you, I'd be very surprised if he would want to go anywhere else at the moment."

Arteta has let slip that Arsenal will be on the hunt for a new striker this summer, despite Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus bouncing back from injury next season.
Havertz could be fit for the season's final match and when quizzed if that could shake up the club's transfer strategy, Arteta responded: "What is clear with the amount of injuries we had in the front line is that we need a goal threat.
"We need the firepower out there, and understanding that the context can change tomorrow. We cannot rely just on the numbers we had before. We have to add goals, we have to add creativity, we have to add numbers and that will be in different positions."
