Ange Postecoglou could regret his decision over Dominic Solanke in his Tottenham team to take on Brighton.
Tottenham will play their final Premier League match this season at home as they welcome Brighton to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (25 May).
The Lilywhites will still be in celebratory mode after their 1-0 victory against Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final at the Estadio de San Mamés on Wednesday (21 May). However, Tottenham will need to focus on the task at hand against Brighton to avoid a 17th-place finish.
As a result, a decision made by Postecoglou could come back to haunt him.

Tottenham need to win against Brighton
Against the Red Devils, Solanke completed just 36 per cent of his passes and failed to register a single shot across 90 minutes [Sofascore].
In addition, the striker succeeded with just 50 per cent of his dribble attempts, won just two of his nine ground duels, seven of his 16 aerial duels, gave possession away 14 times and committed two fouls.
This is not good enough for a Tottenham side that needs to secure one last final win this season.
Postecoglou could save his future with a victory against Brighton
Despite leading Tottenham to their first major trophy in 17 years, Postecoglou could still leave the North London club this summer.
However, a victory on the final day of the Premier League season could turn things around for the Australian coach. As it stands, the Lilywhites are on course to finish 17th in the Premier League, but a home victory could see them end the season three spots higher.
While a 14th-placed finish is still unacceptable, that, coupled with the Europa League win, could be enough to tip the scales in Postecoglou’s favour.
However, Tottenham first need to win the game, and Solanke could prevent Postecoglou’s side from doing that, which could in turn lead to the end of the road for the 59-year-old.
