'He will..': Amorim breaks silence on Bruno Fernandes'exit talk amid£100m potential bid from Saudi

Manchester United are braced for a massive squad overhaul following a forgettable 2024-25 season.

Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are plotting a sensational £100 million swoop for Bruno Fernandes, luring the club captain with a jaw-dropping £700,000-a-week offer.

Despite the growing speculation, manager Ruben Amorim has dropped a big hint that Fernandes is likely to remain at Old Trafford.

He told TNT Sports (via ManUtd.com): “It is important for Bruno to see that we are changing a lot of things in our club.

“The behaviour, the everyday organisation, the pace of training. All these things, if he sees that we are doing that across all levels, he will want to stay at this club. He loves this club.

“That is the most important thing, not the Champions League. He wants to win with this club and he trains and behaves at a high level. Everybody here needs to do that – he will be here for that.”

Bruno Fernandes is pivotal to Man United

The Portuguese maestro was recently crowned Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year, a fitting reward for a player who carried the team through a turbulent campaign.

He won this coveted prize for a record fourth time, matching the feats of David de Gea and Cristiano Ronaldo.

With 19 goals and 19 assists this season, Fernandes has been the lone spark in an otherwise lifeless unit.

Amorim has largely deployed Fernandes in the central midfield role and the skipper has stepped up to the task.

Beyond his goals and assists, his tireless work ethic and defensive contributions have earned the respect of teammates and fans alike.

Selling Fernandes could provide INEOS with a financial cushion, especially with the club missing out on European competition revenues next season.

However, it would be an almost impossible challenge for them to replace the 30-year-old, who is currently the heartbeat of this fractured squad.
