Rúben Amorim has selected a strong starting XI with a few changes as Manchester United host Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
After a dismal performance in the Europa League final, Manchester United now turn their attention to the final game of the season — a home clash with Aston Villa on Premier League matchday 38.
Unai Emery’s Villa side are still chasing a coveted Champions League spot, while United, sitting 16th in the table, have only pride left to play for after a season defined by inconsistency and frustration.
Rúben Amorim’s men could still finish as high as 14th if West Ham drop points against Ipswich Town and Wolves lose to Brentford, but even that modest improvement would do little to ease the disappointment of the campaign.
With spirits low, pressure mounting, and Villa arriving highly motivated, there’s growing concern that United could end a forgettable season with one final, demoralising defeat in front of a restless Old Trafford crowd.
The XIs have been confirmed below, with Amorim keeping Kobbie Mainoo on the bench as Mason Mount starts on the left of the front three.
