Unai Emery has suggested Aston Villa's game against Manchester United will not be Emi Martinez's last stand in the Villans' goal.
Martinez is the subject of interest from the mega-rich Saudi Pro League and has been linked with Atletico Madrid and Manchester United – who Villa play on the final day of the Premier League season.
During his time at Villa Martinez has become one of the world’s leading goalkeepers and helped Argentina win the World Cup in 2022.
All the noises suggest Villa’s final day clash at Old Trafford could be Martinez’s last in claret and blue but Emery has poured cold water on the rumours.
Asked whether the game will be Martinez's last in claret and blue, Emery bluntly replied: "No way!"
The interviewer on TNT Sports followed up with: "Definitely not, he's staying at the club?" Emery added: '"See you later."
Martinez, 32, will keep goal for Villa at Old Trafford as the club bids to qualify for the Champions League for the second successive season.
Martinez is contracted to Villa until 2029 after only signing a new five-year contract last summer.
