Luka Modric said his goodbyes to the Santiago Bernabeu faithful this weekend, putting an end to a successful era for both the player and the club.
Considered one of the best midfielders ever, Modric shone in 13 seasons with Los Blancos, winning five FIFA Club World Cups, six UEFA Champions League titles and four La Liga titles, among other trophies.
Amid reported interest interest from clubs in MLS and Saudi Arabia, the 39-year-old seems likely to suit up in a different team's colours later this year as he intends to play in next year's FIFA World Cup.

According to Transfermarkt, the Croatian icon's contract with Real Madrid runs out on June 30, which means Modric can play in all three group stage matches for the club before his deal expires.
However, Modric's contract reportedly has a clause that extends the deal for another month, meaning he would be eligible to play for as long as Real Madrid are alive in the competition.
The player himself is reported to have confirmed that the Club World Cup will be his "last dance" in Real Madrid colours, stating that he "will do everything" to win one more trophy with the club.
