Anthony Edwards Sends NBA Voters Clear Message After Game 3 Win vs. OKC

The Minnesota Timberwolves demolished the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3 of the conference finals, winning by a final score of 143-101. The Thunder now lead the series 2-1.

Timberwolves All-Star shooting guard Anthony Edwards put up 30 points, nine rebounds and six assists in 29 minutes in Game 3. He shot 12-of-17 from the field, 5-of-8 from beyond the arc and 1-of-2 from the free-throw line.

Edwards made the All-NBA Second Team this year. Meanwhile, Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert, who has won the Defensive Player of the Year Award four times, made the All-Defensive Second Team.

The 23-year-old Edwards, though, isn't happy with the NBA voters.

During his media session with reporters after Game 3 on Saturday, Edwards called out the voters since Jaden McDaniels didn't make one of the two All-Defensive Teams.

McDaniels made the All-Defensive Second Team last year. Edwards, who is three wins away from making the NBA Finals for the first time in his career, is upset that McDaniels wasn't voted again this year.

The 24-year-old McDaniels averaged 12.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.9 blocks for the Timberwolves during the regular season.

The swingman is averaging 14.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.9 blocks in the 2025 playoffs.

McDaniels played strong defense against Los Angeles Lakers stars Luka Doncic and LeBron James in the first round.

He then guarded Golden State Warriors stars Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler in the second round.

Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch has McDaniels guarding Thunder superstar and MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the conference finals.

Gilgeous-Alexander only had 14 points in Game 3 while shooting 30.8% from the field.
