Wolves player ratings vs Brentford, as Marshall Munetsi stunner overshadowed by terrible 3/10…

Vitor Pereira’s side ended their Premier League campaign with a 1-1 draw against Brentford.

Wolves’ terrible record on the final day seemed to be repeating itself when Bryan Mbeumo fired the Bees into a first-half lead after 20 minutes.

Pereira’s men, however, would fight back in the second half, with Marshall Munetsi’s 75th-minute rocket levelling the score.

In what was a pretty mixed afternoon for Wolves, Molineux News has done its best at ranking the players’ performances below.

Wolves player ratings vs Brentford

Jose Sa – 6

The Portuguese keeper was solid all-round, making a number of fine saves. Couldn’t do anything for Brentford’s opener.

Matt Doherty – 6

Doherty was his usual solid self, keeping dangerman Wissa relatively quiet on the day.

Emmanuel Agbadou – 7

Agbadou struggled on the ball against Crystal Palace midweek but was back to his best today. The Ivorian was far more secure in possession, as well as being solid defensively.

Toti Gomes – 5

Gomes was targeted by Mbeumo and seemed to struggle with the Brentford forward’s movement. The defender also seemed slightly shaky on the ball at times.

Nelson Semedo – 6

The wing-back was positive throughout, even nearly grabbing himself a goal just before half-time. Semedo’s performance will leave Wolves fans hoping he’s still at Molineux next season.

Rayan Ait-Nouri – 5

An unusually uneventful performance from the Algerian. He was pretty absent going forward and struggled defensively, giving the ball away for Brentford’s opener.

Joao Gomes – 6

The midfielder was his usual tenacious self, but an early booking stopped him from making the desired impact.

Andre – 6

Endless running again from Andre, but his limitations on the ball prevented him from making the killer pass needed.

Marshall Munetsi – 7

What a strike from Munetsi! The 28-year-old ran his socks off as always and provided the finish when needed. A well-deserved goal from the January signing.

Goncalo Guedes – 3

Failed to make any sort of impact going forward. Yet another uneventful performance from the Portuguese. Time is up for Guedes.

Matheus Cunha – 6

Despite not being able to grab a goal, Cunha was very bright, creating several chances for himself and his Wolves teammates.

Subs:

Jorgen Strand Larsen – 7

Rodrigo Gomes – 5

Santiago Bueno – 5

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde – 5

Tom King – 5
