Liverpool player ratings vs Crystal Palace as Alexander-Arnold good but Gravenberch poor

**Alisson:** Tried to make himself big for Ismaila Sarr's goal but it was a good finish from the Palace forward. Made some good stops, but none that you wouldn't expect a goalkeeper of his class to make. 6

**Conor Bradley:** Gave the ball away for Crystal Palace's opener before being sacrificed to afford Trent Alexander-Arnold a second-half send-off. 5

**Virgil van Dijk:** Bradley may have given the ball away, but Van Dijk's lazy positioning was the main reason Ismaila Sarr was able to score. So uncharacteristic of Liverpool's captain. 5

**Ibrahima Konate:** Was the more solid center-back of the two before being replaced for Darwin Nunez shortly after the hour mark. 6

**Andy Robertson:** The Scot implored Van Dijk to get back into position in the seconds before Sarr's opener but his warning was not heeded by his skipper. Produced a great pass for Cody Gakpo which should have ended with a goal. 6

**Ryan Gravenberch:** Booked for a dive in the second half before being shown a straight red card for a last-man challenge, which will see him miss Liverpool's first three games of next season. 3

**Curtis Jones:** Has shown his quality at times this season but just doesn't impact games regularly enough. This was an anonymous display. 4

**Dominic Szoboszlai:** A similar kind of performance to Jones: plenty of energy, but had little impact when Liverpool had the ball. 5

**Luis Diaz:** Was played in by Salah in the first half but saw his shot on the swivel saved by Dean Henderson. 6

**Cody Gakpo:** Improved after the break after a quiet first half, and should've claimed an assist when he cut the ball back for Diogo Jota, who hit the post. 5

**Mohamed Salah:** Wasn't at the races but scored the equalizer to equal Andy Cole and Alan Shearer's joint record of 47 direct goal contributions in a single Premier League season. 6

Substitutes

-----------

**Trent Alexander-Arnold (Bradley, 46):** His brilliance was evident as soon as he entered the pitch and provided Liverpool with a spark. 7

**Darwin Nunez (Szoboszlai, 62):** Came on for what will almost certainly be his last game for Liverpool. Ran plenty. 6

**Diogo Jota (Konate, 62):** Hit the post when he should have scored. Could also be his last game in red. 5

**Wataru Endo (Diaz, 69):** Another outing for a player who could be on his way. Willingly filled in at center-back after Gravenberch's dismissal. 5

**Harvey Elliott:** No time to mark.
