**Fabianski** – Two excellent saves in the first half and Fab looked comfortable with his feet, playing Potter’s system: Poor clearance though, leading upto Ipswich’s goal. Generally tidy and far more suited to a playing out from the back game: Remind me again, why is he leaving? 7
**Scarles** lots of first half running. Too many touches when first time crosses were needed. Defensively sound. Substituted after 70-odd. 6
**Kilman** Pointless yellow card before half time for a nasty elbow in the neck of Hurst. Tidy enough apart from that. Good goal-saving block at the end to keep the Hammers in front. Maintained concentration in the way his partner Todibo did not. 6.5
**Todibo** Comfortable on the ball early on, caught out of position a couple of times. Poor defending for Ipswich’s goal, as if he’d already left on holiday. Needless fouls from being caught out of position on the ‘wrong side’. Lost possession to Clarke after 81 minutes which could easily have lead to an Ipswich equaliser. 5
**Mavropanos.** Largely invisible. In a good way. No stupid fouls or errors… Held off Liam Delap very well in a sprint between the two to save a break and pass back to the keeper safely. 6.5
**Wan Bissaka** One ‘telescopic legs ‘ trademark first half tackle, good attacking play and linking up well with right sided Todibo: Swapped to left wing back when Scarles went off. Ran out of steam at the end. 7
**Ward** Prowse on the spot to receive Bowen’s square pass to chip in West Ham’s goal. Limited forward passing or involvement, ran around the centre circle. Lots. Substituted for Paquetá 6.5
**Soucek** Anonymous in the first half. Ineffective playing in a left midfielder role. 5
**Alvarez** Much like Soucek, pretty anonymous in the first half: did give the ball away in the second half. A couple of gritty tackles with no quarter given. Subbed for Rodriguez at 78 minutes, recent injury probably accounting for his ‘leggy’ last few mins. 5
**Bowen** Buzzing around and one rasping shot saved by the ‘keeper: Created the first by stealing in to nick the ball and lay on Ward-Prowse’s simple goal . Brilliant solo strike to fire West Ham back in front. A level above everyone else on the pitch. 9
**Fullkrug** Didn’t look 100% comfortable in a two up top role with Bowen but grew into the first ’45. Lasted 70 minutes but never really got into the second half. Not suited to the ‘Kudus’ role. 6
Substitutes
**Kudus** on for Fullkrug 73mins: Industrious and worked a good exchange with Rodriguez to fire one in from the inside right position. Great strike, far too much space given by the Ipswich defence but beautifully taken. No celebration though. Looked as if he’s mentally already departed. 8
**Coufal** on for Scarles /Wan Bissaka swap 73 mins
**Paquetá** 78 minutes .Showboating flicks and tricks to the end.
**Rodriguez** 78 Minutes Good combination to register the assist for Kudus. Seems to gave got upto speed for the Premier League finally – by the end of the season.
**Cresswell** on at 90 minutes and nice touch from Bowen to give him the armband.
