Every word from Ruben Amorim's emotional apology to Manchester United fans after 'disaster…

Man Utd defeated Aston Villa on the final day of the Premier League season.

Ruben Amorim apologised to Manchester United supporters after an unacceptable first season with the club. United finished the campaign 15th in the Premier League after they defeated Aston Villa 2-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. Amad Diallo and Christian Eriksen grabbed the goals in what was one of their most impressive performances of a disappointing campaign.

It means United have now lost six of their last 10 matches across all competitions, including their dire defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final. United not only finished the season trophyless but they also missed out on European qualification in another huge blow to the head coach.

Amorim is well aware it will take a lot more than words to win back those who doubt him in the fanbase and he issued a heartfelt apology to fans after their final day defeat to Villa.
