AC Milan’s squad is expected to undergo big changes in the summer window, and Hans Nicolussi Caviglia is on the list of targets.
According to TMW, a ‘revolution’ will be needed in the summer after such a disappointing season. The ‘probable departure of Tijjani Reijnders’ means that the midfield is a department that could undergo major alterations.
In addition to the name of Samuele Ricci – who has been linked with a move to Milan for months now – a more recent idea is Hans Nicolussi Caviglia of Venezia. He arrived from Juventus last summer on loan with an obligation to buy for €3.5m plus €1.5m in bonuses.
In the event that Venezia suffer relegation (they will play for survival tonight, ironically against Juventus) the operation could be simpler. It is unlikely that the 24-year-old would remain in Serie B, so if they were to drop then Milan could make their move.
The Diavolo have him in their sights as they aim to add another Italian to the midfield, thinking about the present and the future. Nicolussi Caviglia has taken the field 33 times this season, scoring four goals.
It has been reported in recent days that Milan’s new sporting director Igli Tare intends to focus more on players who know the league well.
