Mikel Arteta faces the media following his side’s victory over Southampton in the Premier League. The scoreline secured the club second spot in the table.
Arsenal took the lead thanks to Kieran Tierney on his last game for the club as he is set to leave at the end of his contract. However, Ross Stewart’s pinpoint header levelled the scores early in the second period.
Arsenal made changes with Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, Martin Odegaard, Leandro Trossard and Myles Lewis-Skelly all coming off the bench. And it would indeed be one of those stars, the skipper, striking from range to beat Ramsdale and win the three points, ending the season in as best a way it could given the circumstances.

If you cannot be the best, be the best of the rest. This season has been the toughest, and we need to value that.
Understand what has taken us that far. There is not much that needs to happen to go one further.

We were all in two different buses. I think it was incredible, the way they played, the way they beat that Barcelona team.
We could not be prouder of that, a good example to look ahead.

First of a big thank you, the way they have supported the team, the club. The manner, the energy has been incredible again. And hope this team gives absolutely everything. There is not a single drop more to give.
The desire that we have to make that little extra step and to be really enthusiastic.

Ricci and Jurrien. We pushed Ricci a lot to make sure he was fit for the last two games and he was ahead of schedule.
He was dragged into areas where he was really stretched. We decided to give him the break.

The Gunners sealed a win in their final match of the season as Martin Odegaard and Kieran Tierney's goals were enough to break a bad run of games at St Mary's and secure second place for a third season in a row.
Arsenal took the lead after what was, without a doubt, one of the worst halves of football we’ve seen all season. A wonderful moment for Tierney who found the net on his final match for the club, tapping in at the near-post from a Ben White cross.
However, their lead would be negated early in the second half as Ross Stewart headed past David Raya from a deep corner. In an attempt to win the game, Arsenal would bring on plenty of their main starters.
