Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has confirmed that Chelsea transfer target Alejandro Garnacho will be part of the club's post-season tour despite being left out of the squad against Aston Villa on Sunday.
Garnacho is understood to have been informed that he can leave United this summer, should an acceptable offer come. It's claimed the winger's entourage held talks with United after he was named on the bench in the Europa League final to Tottenham.
Alongside goalkeeper Andre Onana, Garnacho was omitted from United's squad for the final game of the season against Villa. The Argentina winger is expected to leave United this summer with Chelsea linked with a move.
However, Amorim has confirmed that the 20-year-old will join the rest of his teammates in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong. Asked by TNT Sports if the winger has played his last game for the club, Amorim said: "No. Garnacho is a Manchester United player that is not in the squad today, but he continues to be a Manchester United player."
He added when quizzed if we will be part of the post-season tour: "Yes, everybody is going because we have to go to meet our fans and give something to our fans in the other side of the world."
Following today's final Premier League games, United will play two games against ASEAN All Stars on May 28 and Hong King, China on May 30.
Chelsea were interested in Garnacho during the January transfer window with Italian champions Napoli being unsuccessful with a bid. The forward claimed his future was unclear after the loss to Tottenham earlier this week.
Garnacho said: "Up until the final I played every round helping the team and today I play 20 minutes, I don't know.
"The final will influence (my decision) but the whole season, the situation of the club. "I'm going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens afterwards."
