Trent Alexander-Arnold lifted the Premier League trophy on what was his final appearance for Liverpool

Trent Alexander-Arnold revealed the reception reserved to him from Liverpool supporters after his second-half introduction against Crystal Palace "means more than anything" to him. The Reds defender was brought on for Conor Bradley in the 1-1 draw, a fortnight on from when he was loudly booed by a portion of the Anfield crowd for his decision to leave as a free agent at the end of his contract.
Alexander-Arnold, who is expected to join Real Madrid, was included in the match-day squad for the final game of his Reds career ahead of lifting the Premier League trophy.
And while the issue had threatened to become an unwanted distraction for the club, match-goers greeted his arrival with a cheer before he was saluted at full-time as the players lined up to receive their winners' medals.

"To get the reception I got means more than anything to me," Alexander-Arnold told Sky Sports. "I've played hundreds of games for the club, but I've never felt so loved and cared for than today.
"From the bottom of my heart, I hope the fans and supporters of this club will be able to recognise the hard work and everything I did for the team.
"There wasn't a day, minute or second I didn't think about the team. From six years old to now, 20 years is a very long time but I've loved every minute - the ups and the downs.
"Coming through the academy, making it into the first team, being part of that properly, it's been an honour and a privilege."
The 26-year-old, who was in tears on the pitch, added: "It's not sunk in [I'm leaving], it's all I've ever known. At times you catch yourself thinking you'll be back next season, but then you remember it's not the case because things are changing.
"I'll remember these moments for the rest of my life, especially today. It's been the best day of my life, a very, very special day and a very special achievement for the team and the club."
Alexander-Arnold departs having won two Premier League titles, the Champions League in 2019, the 2022 FA Cup and two League Cups in 2022 and 2024 alongside the club's only Club World Cup, which was won in Qatar in December 2019.
